	Leadership Crittenden County PURPOSE Leadership Crittenden County is a leadership development program designed to develop a core of people who are interested and willing to make an investment in their community. This program seeks people who are willing to be at the forefront of planning and developing programs and projects for the betterment of our community. OBJECTIVES To identify and select individuals with a sincere interest in Crittenden County , Arkansas and a desire to enhance their leadership skills and expand business and personal relationships. To strive for a cross section of participants from the business, civic, government, education community services and religious communities. To educate and challenge the participants as to the needs of the community, as well as the dynamics of the decision-making process. To develop a network among the participants thus providing a common ground for working together in the future through the Leadership Alumni. To create a dialogue and rapport between the participants and existing community leadership. To foster a sense of community. PARTICIPANTS Leadership Crittenden County actively solicits applications from all sectors of the community. Around 12 individuals will have the opportunity to participate each year. Participants will represent all sectors of the community and generally should exhibit these characteristics: A desire to become aware of community issues. A desire for personal growth opportunities. A desire to become involved in your community. Privilege of continuing community education through Leadership Crittenden County Alumni Association. During the program class members will get to know each other and establish bonds and perspectives which will enhance their community leadership effectiveness and their understanding of the community's interaction. < back
