Mission Statement: "The mission of the West
Memphis Chamber of Commerce shall be to represent the business community
of the West Memphis area in the development of goals and programs which
will improve the economic well being of citizens and preserve and improve
our quality of life."
Building Bridges
The positive growth of the community is important to the West Memphis
Chamber, whose mission is to represent the business community in the development
of its goals. Continued partnerships with other agencies like Main Street
West Memphis, A&P Commission, and the Office of Economic Development
allows the West Memphis Chamber to help the local businesses develop long-lasting
relationships which help the growth of the community.
Continuing Education
The West Memphis Chamber supports continuing education for West Memphis
youth with programs such as Partners in Education, which pairs businesses
with local area schools to help fulfill their educational needs. . The
adult Leadership Crittenden County program helps local professionals become
leaders who will use their skills to focus on creating innovative approaches
to the challenges that face Crittenden County both now and in the future.
The Chamber as a Partner
The West Memphis Chamber acts as a public relations firm for its members,
providing businesses the opportunity to promote their upcoming events
and also to publicize in the monthly newsletter, local newspapers, and
cable station. The Chamber works to promote their membership and frequently
provides referrals to all information requests via visitor, phone call,
and e-mail.
