Leadership Crittenden County

PARTICIPATION

Created in 1996, the Leadership Crittenden County program allows local professionals to learn more about their community, to work with local leaders to address problems and achieve solutions. This program encourages graduates to become better, more involved leaders within their community and profession. Numerous activities are scheduled through the year to help you become more familiar and involved with your community. These events will only strengthen your leadership skills both individually and as a team. Through active involvement in this program, you will enhance your knowledge of Crittenden County and strengthen your management, interpersonal, and communication skills.

ATTENDANCE:

Commitment statement of participant:

I understand that I am expected to attend all scheduled events for the Leadership Class of 2004. This includes active involvement in the planning and execution of the annual Christmas Parade. You are required to attend the Leadership Retreat on April 1 – 3, 2004 , no exceptions. Failure to attend this retreat will be cause for removal from the class. We understand that “life’s challenges” happen and in the event you cannot attend the retreat, you are welcome to reapply for the Class of 2005. Additionally, more than (2) absences, of monthly sessions, for any reason shall be adequate cause to be dropped from the Leadership Crittenden County program.

The attendance requirement shall be strictly enforced. Missing more than 1 hour of any session will be considered an absence. Participants are expected to stay for the entire time scheduled. All absences should be submitted in writing prior to the session. If an emergency arises and prior notification is not possible, you should notify Jerry Webb at 901-634-6778 as soon as possible. In the case of an emergency or illness, contact the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce at 735-1134 or Jerry Webb at 901-634-6778. Prior contact is expected.
